Brokering Solutions for Grid Middlewares
نویسنده
چکیده
The Grid society has gone through some generations and there are some well known and widely used architectures. The latest middlewares are under careful development taking into account the advanced techniques. Brokering is a useful and even more necessary service of grids. Researchers have started to extend the previous middlewares with this function. The Globus Toolkit [8] is the most widespread middleware among grids, which still needs this improvement. GTbroker is a proper solution for this toolkit to provide automated job submission for the users. The EGEE project [4] is developing a new middleware to stand all demands of grid users, which has some common features with the GTbroker and Globus combination.

Decentralized Resource Brokering for Heterogeneous Grid Environments
The emergence of Grid computing infrastructures enables researchers to share resources and collaborate in more efficient ways than before, despite belonging to different organizations and being distanced geographically. While the Grid computing paradigm offers new opportunities, it also gives rise to new difficulties. One such problem is the selection of resources for user applications. Given t...
متن کاملDesigning General, Composable, and Middleware-independent Grid Infrastructure Tools for Multi-tiered Job Management
We propose a multi-tiered architecture for middleware-independent Grid job management. The architecture consists of a number of services for well-defined tasks in the job management process, offering complete user-level isolation of service capabilities, multiple layers of abstraction, control, and fault tolerance. The middleware abstraction layer comprises components for targeted job submissio...
متن کاملMeta-Brokering Solutions for Expanding Grid Middleware Limitations
Grid Resource Management tools evolved from manual discovery and task submission to sophisticated brokering solutions. User requirements created certain properties that resource managers have learned to support. This development is still continuing, and users already need to stress themselves to distinguish brokers and migrate their applications when they move to a different grid. Moreover, gri...
متن کاملInvestigating peer-to-peer meta-brokering in Grids
Grid Computing has succeeded in establishing production Grids serving various user communities all around the world. The emerging Web technologies have already affected Grid development; the latest solutions from peer-topeer networking also need to be considered in order to successfully transform the currently separated production Grids to a World-Wide Grid solving the big problem of Grid Inter...
متن کاملA standards-based Grid resource brokering service supporting advance reservations, coallocation, and cross-Grid interoperability
The problem of Grid-middleware interoperability is addressed by the design and analysis of a feature-rich, standards-based framework for all-to-all cross-middleware job submission. The architecture is designed with focus on generality and flexibility and builds on extensive use, internally and externally, of (proposed) Web and Grid services standards such as WSRF, JSDL, GLUE, and WS-Agreement. ...
